READING SPECTACLES NEEDED!
When in Tanzania, we are aware that many people cannot afford to buy the glasses that they need in order to see properly. The people we have met in Dodoma can usually have their eye-sight tested, but then cannot afford to buy glasses. This means that there are whole rows of pupils in school who have to sit in the front row in order to try and see the teacher and the black-board. It also means that older people cannot read their Bibles and books as there are no reading glasses that they can afford. So if you have any spare spectacles, in good condition and with the prescription for them in their case: we would really like to have them. If there is anyone who would like to head up this work of collecting spectacles in their case (hard cases if possible) including the prescription, please contact us by e mail or ring Ruth on 07854 688373.
